Course: Helping Students to Excel in PSLE Mathematics

(Focus: MAINSTREAM SCHOOLS)


If you are teaching Maths to children, this course will teach you the strategies of achieving better grades for your children.  Suitable for parents, teachers and anyone who involve in teaching Maths to Children at PSLE level.  As PSLE is approaching for those taking it this year, this course is highly relevant to them.

This course is about the type of test items in PSLE Mathematics and how teachers can help students develop the necessary competencies to perform well on each of the item types. Core competencies such as visualization, patterning and number sense as well as metacognition and communication will be discussed.

For the following who are working with students doing the mainstream academic curriculum and taking the PSLE, including students with an Autism Spectrum Disorder

Objectives of The Course

Upon completion of the training workshop, participants will be able to:

Know different test items in PSLE Mathematics world

Know core competencies required to perform well on different item types, especially challenging problems
